This course examines the guidelines and laws which govern business practice according to Torah law. Detailed laws relevant to business operations are found throughout the Torah, many of which are both commonplace in the world of business while also somewhat unknown to the general population. The goal of this course is to educate and generate an awareness of these regulations in order to apply them effectively within business practice. Topics include a general overview of Jewish business ethics, along with the restrictions of exploitation, dishonesty in marketing and advertising, free-market capitalism, contracts and commitments, employer-employee relationships, and secular courts.
