In this course, students examine the complexities of building and sustaining strong relationships between schools and their communities, with a particular focus on the unique perspectives and skills that Jewish educators bring to this work. Students critically analyze the theoretical frameworks and practical strategies for effective school-community engagement. The course explores the intersection of communication, collaboration, and advocacy through the lens of Jewish values and traditions, while also addressing the specific needs and challenges of diverse school communities. Students develop advanced skills in working through diverse perspectives, leveraging community resources, and promoting inclusivity and understanding. Through case studies, simulations, and real-world applications, students gain the expertise to become transformative leaders in building bridges between their schools and the wider community.
